It’s time I give credit where credit is due.

I’ve been itching to blog about Udi’s for a long time now, but it wasn’t until we decided on our “Crazy About” series that I felt it was the perfect match.

“Crazy About” features gluten-free products, restaurants, companies and startups that impress us so much we just have to share them with you. Today we sing our praises to Udi’s, and if you haven’t heard of them, you’d better get a move on it.

Read on for all you need to know about Udi’s Gluten-Free.

Since Udi’s broke out on the gluten-free scene in 2008, they have been unstoppable. In the past few years they have turned into a one-stop shop for all of your gluten-free bread product needs, producing muffins, cookies, bagels, and of course their signature bread. Udi’s, I love you. Let me count the ways.

 1. It Isn’t Just About The Variety.

But first, let’s talk about the variety. Not only does Udi’s make (deep breath) bagels, breads, rolls, buns, granola, granola bars, tortillas, muffins, cookies, brownies, chips, cinnamon rolls, frozen burritos, pizzas, pizza crusts and various frozen ready-meals, they also make the best. flavors. ever. Spinach & Feta pizza? Check. Pumpkin muffins? Check. Cinnamon raisin bagels? Check. Salted caramel cashew cookies? You betcha. But like the title says, it isn’t just about variety. Udis products TASTE GOOD. They have achieved what was thought to be the impossible, and made gluten-free products that really do taste like the real thing. Who could ask for more?

 2. Udi’s is Everywhere!

Udis is available at large grocery store chains, at health food stores, online at their site and through other online merchants. The total amount of locations where you can buy Udi’s products? A whopping 16,000 and counting. You can even find Udi’s buns at baseball stadium hot dog stands!

 3. Udi’s Cares About Your Health

In 2011, Udi’s began manufacturing nutritionally enhanced breads, including their Ancient Grain Millet Chia and Omega Flax and Fiber. Udi’s also takes into consideration other dietary restrictions and makes most of their products dairy, nut and soy free.

 4. Udi’s Gives Back

Udi’s is constantly coming up with unique ways to give back to the gluten-free community. When their facebook page reached 30,000 fans they donated 300 pounds of gluten-free granola to a charity chosen by their facebook fans. They frequently have other facebook promotions, such as for every new like their page gets they will donate a meal to homeless shelters and food banks across the country.

Udi’s also frequently hosts promotions where you can send gluten-free food packs to friends who are newly diagnosed or unfamiliar with Udi’s. Udi’s cares about giving back locally as well, and are known to be active in local Colorado fundraisers and charity events.

I’m sure I don’t just speak for myself when I say I really want this company to keep growing, to keep producing awesome products and to keep their gluten-free fanbase constantly coming back for more.

My most recent obsession are their frozen burritos, especially the bean & green chile. What is your favorite Udi’s product?
